A year ago today I crossed the international dateline from east to west. Which means I was on the air when this day came and went on land last year, 2006. I'm sure glad my feet are on the ground today, surrounded by my loved ones.
Last year when I crossed it, I think only the sixth time in my 39 years, was really memorable.
Those who cross the International Dateline in the early 20th century are given a certificate signed by the Mythical Golden Dragon, ruler of the 180th meridean. It was in commemoration of THE EVENT.
